Project Engineer

Purpose of the job: The Facilities/Projects Engineer will work closely with the FM Manager to support all facilities activities. The Engineer will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support related to facilities and its maintenance in the factory

The Facilities Engineer will provide administrative support to the Facilities Manager and the

Facilities will manage all outside contractors in support of the Facilities Department, including maintaining records and contracts, coordinating project activities and providing support.

Primary (Essential) Functions:

• Inspect facility for debris, dust, and ensure housekeeping and cleaning is done by the subcontractor employees
• Supervise and maintain all general electrical and air-conditioning work and plumbing repairs in coordination with the plant maintenance team.
• Ensure that all firefighting and alarm systems are in working condition as per the   in coordinator with the subcontractor and the EHS team.
• Coordinate with contractors on maintenance issues and special projects.
• Solicit and review bids for outsourced work.
• Orient onsite contractors who perform regular or once-only projects to Company’s facilities and systems.
• Install, repair and replace safety and protective equipment, including door systems as required.
• Preserve external and internal appearance of the facility.
• Maintain all landscaping requirements and equipment.
• Keep Close Coordination with the regulatory authority ECZA
• Conduct repairs and upgrades of the facility.
• Perform office modifications; assemble and install office equipment.
• Order janitorial supplies.
• Ensure that all the scrap & garbage is disposed in order as planned.
• Attend to all the office arrangement and furniture requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors in ensuring contract services related to pest control, fire systems, water supply, sewage and general maintenance are provided as planned.

Preferably an Industrial/Civil/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering Graduate with atleast 3-4 years of experience in an Industrial setup.

Will also be responsible to carryout any other task entrusted by the direct manager or added to the job description at a later stage.
